My family came to visit for my sister's birthday (which is the 3rd).We went to Red Robin. It was really nice to see them!

Lyndi, Paul, Maria, Lizzy, and I drove to Mason to visit Andrew at Dairy Hill where he works. We got free ice cream, and we got to see him in this incredible uniform.

We stayed in Phelps from the time it opened until we got kicked out (4:30pm-7:00pm). Phelps is the dining hall at Hope College.
We took paper and crayons so that we could keep ourselves occupied.

I drew this today. One of our assignments in my Basic Drawing class was to draw some part of the library. I decided to venture to the fourth floor for the first time, and I discovered these amazing windows overlooking Pillar Church and part of downtown Holland.

Some of the girls from my cluster went and watched Katie at her tennis match. She did so well! And she won!

I chose not to go skiing. It was nice to have a day to myself. I relaxed, worked on drawings, and did a lot of homework. I finished pretty much everything I had written on my calendar.

MMMMMC (Monday Movie Madness in the Martha Miller Center)
Every Monday night, a group of my friends and I sneak into the Martha Miller Center auditorium and we watch an episode of Arrested Development and a movie.
It had been really foggy all day, and I took this on my way back to my dorm. The building off to the left is Martha.

January 31
LOST party!!! We had a LOST party to celebrate the beginning of season 4. It was a great episode.
January 30
Lizzy and Allison started a hair-cutting business in the cluster, and Emily gave them some tips. Marcus's hair actually turned out really nice!

We wore our pajamas inside out and backwards in hope of a snow day...and it worked! Hope College has not had a snow day in 15 or more years, and we got one!

I snapped this picture on my webcam while I was at work. I work at the Media Services desk on the second floor of the library. I really don't do anything at work, other than occassionally sell someone a few pieces of colored paper or laminate something. It really is a nice job to have because I get so much homework done while I'm there, and I'm really thankful to have been hired.January 27
I went to the after-gathering after work. It really is a bummer that I have to miss the Gathering every week because I have to work.

Maria, Lizzy, Laura, Natalie, and I all went to the beach and walked down the pier. The ice looked awesome, and there were some guys walking on the ice. It was scary going all the way to the end of the pier, but awesome at the same time.

Sibling Weekend! My sister and Lizzy's sister, Laura, came to visit. Even though we had a boring first night that led to us making up a ridiculous adventure, I had a lot of fun with my sister. :)

Intertube Water Polo game! This is the Supergroup in all our glory. I don't think we ever won a game, but we always had fun and played well together. And our team was just so funny and ridiculous, which made every game so much better.
...Wow that sounded so corny, but it's definitely true.
January 22
First Intertube Water Polo game! The other team was really rude, and they kept kicking us, splashing us, and flipping us over, even though that is against the rules. We made the most of it and had a lot of fun, though.
January 21
First day at my field placement, and I realized it was really close to the beach. I went and took some pictures of the lighthouse. It was kind of scary being out on the beach by myself, especially since the water was completely frozen and there was a bitter cold wind that was nearly blowing me over.
January 19
The night of the puzzle race! Oh my goodness. Best/Worst night ever.
We all went to the Hope/Calvin hockey game. Hope was awesome and beat Calvin by a lot (I can't remember the exact score). We then all went to the Phelps basement to eat pizza, and found two puzzles. We decided it would be a good idea to race putting the puzzles together, thinking it would only take 20-30 minutes to finish them. We ended up staying up until 3:30 am finishing the puzzles. My team won!
January 18
HUGE game of Capture the Flag in the Pine Grove. Then we all went inside and had hot chocolate in the Van Vleck basement (thanks to Lyndi and Kelly) and watched Almost Famous."It's all happening!!"
January 14
Some of the Detroit Tigers came to visit Hope College!
Allison and I went to listen to their panel discussion at DeVos.
